Mother Gloria Bryant McMillan (Polly) was born on August 31, 1948 in
Woodbury, Ga. to the late Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Lena Bell Bryant. Mother
McMillan gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She attended the public
schools of Hillsborough County where she played the clarinet in the band at
Middleton High School graduating in the class of 1967. Mother McMillan was
a homemaker, she loved shopping and working in her yard. She had a heart
for children and became a foster parent to many kids throughout
Hillsborough County. Mother McMillan faithfully served for over 50 years at
New Progress M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E.J. Williams,
Sr. She loved singing and was a member of the #2 Choir and The William
Chorus. Mother McMillan also served as Trustee. She had unconditional love
for her children and family. Mother McMillan was truly a born again Christian.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bro. Clarence McMillan, her
parents, Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Lena Bell Bryant, step father, Mr. Howard
Scott and a longtime friend, Deacon Willie James Jackson, Sr.
She leaves fond memories that will be cherished by her children; daughter;
Pollynesia Green (Lee), sons; Dr. Clarence McMillan Jr (Cassandra), Steven
McMillan, (Bree). Grandchildren; Splrenda Mitchell (Mario), Heaven McMillan,
Josiah McMillan, Caelan McMillan, and Hunter McMillan. Great Grandkids;
Mario, Miguel, Marco, Mariah and Aria. God Daughters; Pastor Latonya Correa
and Odessa Marshall. Brothers; Willie Bryant, Lamar Bryant, Randolph Bryant
(Betty). Sisters; Annie Bryant and Brenda Bryant. Nephews; Ralph Jr, Lamar
Jr, Xavier, Kevin, Derrick, Tony, Sedrick. Nieces; Shawnesia, Chereece, Natalie, and
Cierra along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and
friends with loving memories and thoughts of her.
