Charles (Chuck) Edward Kurtz, 76 of Plant City, Florida, passed away on January 9, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 20, 2021, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at The Hampton Inn located at 2702 Thonotosassa Rd., Plant City, FL. A Mass will be held for him at St. Clements Catholic Church, Thursday March 18 at 11:00AM.
Chuck was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 2, 1944. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Omaha in 1962 before moving to Des Moines, Iowa. Chuck started his career in the automotive service industry and quickly worked his way up to Service Manager in 1967. Chuck has had a successful career as a Service Manager for more than 50 years.
Chuck moved to Florida with his family in 1971 and settled in Plant City, Florida in 1978.
Chuck was a lover of sports cars and motorcycles. When he was not working, you would find him and his wife Betty, traveling to Daytona on their bikes and enjoying all that Florida has to offer.
Chuck is survived by his daughter Lori (Tommy) Coleman, granddaughter Kaylee Coleman, his wife Betty of 27 years, his step-daughters Tavia and Davina, and many other loving family members and friends.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Kurtz and Concetta (Lena) Kurtz.
Chuck was a beloved father and grandfather and a loving husband. Those that knew him, loved his “Larger than Life” personality.
He was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. We pray that he rests in peace and ask that you remember him in your thoughts and prayers.
